Health and Safety

CBIE is committed to providing all attendees with a safe and healthy in-person conference experience. We follow the guidance of the Government of Canada, and the Government of British Colombia, which currently do not require proof of vaccination or masking. Should directives change, we reserve the right to modify our health and safety policies accordingly.

It is important that all attendees acknowledge there are inherent risks associated with large events such as the CBIE conference and that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damages to individual attendees that are caused by circumstances beyond our control.

CBIE strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccination and boosters, as vaccines are recommended as a proven way to prevent the threat of critical illness. While there is no requirement to wear a mask, many attendees may still choose to do so while indoors, and we ask that all attendees respect the health and safety decisions of their colleagues. It is also recommended to administer a home-test before arriving at the conference venue. If you feel ill while on-site, please remain in your hotel room and test to determine your health status.

If you have any questions, please contact the CBIE2023 conference team.
